FLOWER CARE
Processing cut flowers is an easy and fragrant task.
1. Fill plastic buckets with tepid water to hold your flowers prior to arranging them. Tall buckets will help to support the blooms on longer stems.
2. Remove any foliage that would fall below the water level. A few outer guard petals may need to be removed from the flowers to remove any bruises.
3. Using a good pair of garden shears cut at least one half inch of the stem at a 45 degree angle. Inexpensive pruners can be found at hardware stores.
Flowers arrive from the farm in need of water. It's best to give them approximately eight hours to absorb water and replenish in a cool place before being arranged.
Keep flowers cool until the day of the wedding, flowers should be kept out of drafts and direct sunlight. It's best to avoid extreme hot or cold temperatures.
